REVIEW: What I Really Want to Do is Direct by Yvonne Collins and Sandy Rideout

Dear Yvonne Collins and Sandy Rideout

what I really want to do is directWho knew that a focus puller was so important to a movie? Not moi, I assure you. But now I do and I loved learning about it in “What I Really Want to Do is Direct.” Though told in 1st person (after all, it is Chick Lit and that’s almost mandatory), you give us lots of clues about the other characters and Roxanne is so honest about herself that I always felt I knew everything about them.

The script detail inserts are a great way to convey just how hard it is to bring the world the latest alien monster, big budget, loaded up on pyrotechnics movie for our local cineplex. And in true Chick Lit fashion our heroine proves herself to her boss, proves that the bimbo who was trying to get her job is an idiot and still manages to get her man at the end.
